ABSTRACT Fossil fuels vehicles are considered as the most problematic factor of air pollution in metropolitan cities. Electric vehicles (EVs) are presented as the most paramount solution in response to the problem. Despite the aforementioned advantage of EVs in large cities, they cause some technical challenges for electric power distribution networks. The increase of peak times and peak loads in off-peak times are among the crucial problems of electric power distribution network companies. Therefore, the effect of EVs with different battery capacities in parking lots on peak load of electric power distribution networks is considered in this paper.
