ABSTRACT With modernisation and growth in the variability of cars worldwide, the use of diesel and gasoline has tremendously risen. It has become clear that within decades, the availability of oil will be insufficient to meet the demand. There is a need to seek alternative fuels for cars and other vehicles. A different fuel is any material or substance, aside from fossil oil, that is used to supply energy to power any engine. Completely different technologies are presently established for alternative fuels, which might take the place of petroleum. Our project studies the availability of biodiesel. We have obtained biodiesel using fish waste and tested the functioning of the internal combustion engine on aspects such as brake power, indicated power, brake thermal strength, indicated thermal strength, mechanical strength, specific fuel ingestion and emissions from the engine. The parameters like hot worth and density have shown higher results than the commercially accessible petroleum–diesel.
