ABSTRACT This paper deals how optimisation studies were carried out on a selection of glazing materials for solar thermal applications with multi response characteristics based on Multi Criteria Decision Making Methodology using TOPSIS (Technique for order performance by similarity to ideal solution) methodology concerning seven alternatives. In this investigation, seven alternative materials and six criteria used for material selection for the optimal design. The results demonstrations that Polysulfone material is best for the solar thermal applications.
