ABSTRACT Degree-days is a widely used method to deal with issues related to climate, energy and building, can be calculated and estimated in multiple ways according to the amount of meteorological data that may be available, this paper has been worked with the hourly-based method since this is considered the most accurate. This work presents something new: first time it documents the Degree-days of 65 localities with a wide base temperature range from an 18-year climate record (1998–2015) for a country that does not have such data: the Dominican Republic.
