Abstract Common gastric diseases include chronic gastritis, gastric ulcers and gastric cancer. The etiology of gastric diseases is complicated, including genetics, diet, excessive smoking and drinking, environmental factors, and bacterial infections. As live microorganisms, probiotics can confer health benefits to the host. At present, probiotics have been widely used in the preparation of foods, health products, and medicines.
