Dear Editor, we would like to share ideas on the publication “Acute onset ocular myasthenia gravis after vaccination with the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine [1].” Ocular myasthenia gravis was generated by the viral vector Oxford-AstraZeneca coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccination, according to Maher et al. [1]. We agree that the COVID-19 vaccine may have clinical side effects, including eye issues. The vaccine recipient in this case acquired myasthenia gravis, which may or may not be related to the immunization. There is no pre-vaccination data on health, immunity, ocular, or neurological function, making a definitive judgment on the association impossible. The condition experienced by COVID-19 vaccine recipients may or may not be related to the vaccine. A COVID-19 vaccine recipient is likely to have a medical issue at the same time. Dengue fever, for example, is a likely cause of nyasthenia gravis [3] and can coexist [2].
