Also, orientation in the book could be significantly improved by the inclusion of short abstracts of every chapter together with an index list at the end of the book. Despite the minor limitations mentioned above, this unique publication is the first book which attempts to discuss the methodological issues in shadow education research in a complex and mostly systematic manner. The valuable insight the authors provide into the background of the research process together with information not often available in standard research papers make the reviewed book a “must-read” piece for every shadow education researcher. Also, as many of the issues raised by the authors are universal and can be applied to social research in general, the book constitutes a valuable source of knowledge and experience even for the wider research community.
