Thus, when one studies the Chinese economy, it cannot be a simple calculation of dollars vs the renminbi/yuan. One needs to look at how Chinese domestic politics, foreign policy and financial sectors are interacting. The changes in the Chinese Constitution, ending the two-term limit on the Chinese President’s tenure, is a clear indication that not all is well with the Chinese economy, politics and society. In order to continue growing China will need some drastic changes and the repercussions may be global.
