Abstract The present work was done to evaluate the sublethal effects of pomegranate peel herbal extracts on some biological parameters of Tetranychus urticae Koch. The estimated LC10, LC20, and LC50 were 1093, 1685 and 3509 ppm, respectively. The results demonstrated that the pre-adult development of both sexes was not significantly influenced by different concentrations while the oviposition period, fecundity, GRR, and R0 decreased in the treated mites compared to control. Besides, the intrinsic rate of increase (r) showed no difference among concentrations, and it varied from 0.2097 day−1, for the mites treated with LC20, to 0.2201 day−1, for the mites treated with distilled water. The examined botanical extract seems to have suitable effects on some biological parameters of T. urticae; especially those related to reproduction. Thus, peel herbal extracts can be contributed to the reduction of the T. urticae population and can be incorporated in its integrated pest management programs.
