ABSTRACT In this paper, analysis for the average bit error rate (ABER) of dual-hop systems under Weibull-gamma fading conditions is presented. Namely, the performance of dual-hop system with the channel-state information based relays for the noise- and interference-limited scenario is examined. Based on the upper bound for the end-to-end signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), the analytical expressions for the outage probability and the ABER are derived. The same performance evaluations for interference-limited environment are performed. The influence of fading and shadowing parameters, the outage threshold, the average SNR, and signal-to-interference ratio on proposed system performances is discussed.
