This paper suggests a new model made of a simple two-section RC ladder for a uniformly distributed RC network and examines its validity under open-circuited condition, as well as when it is terminated in an RC load impedance, using the Elmore-defined rise time as a measure. The model is shown to perform reasonably well under both conditions.
