data is described in the text. This reviewer hopes that Rowman will consider adopting the larger format for future editions—it really afforded a far superior layout in Soldier Creek’s 3rd edition. The bibliography, which in earlier editions occupied a separate chapter (“A Music Cataloger’s Reference Collection”), now appears in an updated and much streamlined form, integrated into the introduction as a list of website URLs for the most part, in order to benefit from continuous updating. There is a glossary of terms not defined in RDA, and a serviceable index. In the fine tradition of previous editions, this book will be an invaluable resource for instructors and students, non-specialist and novice catalogers, and those looking for an introduction to the treatment of music in RDA. Rather more regrettably, like its earlier manifestations, its usefulness remains effectively limited to physical materials; many will want to supplement it with other aids to online resources.
