Abstract Vena cava thrombosis arising from ovarian vein thrombosis in the postpartum period is a challenging clinical problem with limited treatment options. We describe the first reported use of veno-venous extracorporeal circulation and endovascular suction thrombectomy to treat inferior vena cava thrombosis in a postpartum patient.
