might such regulations have for young people’s access to sex media, media that might currently be helping them to learn about health, bodies, desires and identities? What, for instance, would it mean for resources about sex and sexuality to come under the same classifications as my TubeCrush example? Attwood contributes to these issues in Sex Media by developing a critical understanding of the consequences of a morality-based approach, and offers useful examples of a counterapproach based on sexual ethics, including BishUK (http://www.bishuk.com) and Scarleteen (http://www.scarleteen.com). All in all, this book clearly demonstrates that if we continue to follow the dominant conservatism represented by a normalizing morality approach, this could radically limit an open and negotiated view of how we see sex and sexualities developing into the twenty-first century.
