Isotretinoin treatment can be challenging for patients given the multiple steps required by the iPLEDGE program. Using a structured qualitative interview, this study evaluated patients' experiences and satisfaction with teledermatology to complete the iPLEDGE requirements for isotretinoin prescription, specifically the monthly follow-ups. During virtual visits, 100% of patients felt that their acne-related concerns were adequately addressed and 57% reported that they received the same level of care as in-person. Additionally, 100% of patients reported that it was important for them to have access to their provider through telemedicine. Overall, patients reported positive experiences with teledermatology, and many felt that teledermatology helped reduce the burden associated with isotretinoin prescription.
