contains many pieces of outstanding scholarship and it does indeed present a comprehensive and rounded picture of Leibniz’s thinking. Is there anything to criticize? One thing to notice is that the younger generation of Leibniz scholars (particularly women) is somewhat underrepresented. The volume may have benefitted from the inclusion of a few more up-and-coming scholars (to be fair, though, the long-term planning that is required for endeavours like an Oxford Handbook may render this a difficult task). Still, The Oxford Handbook of Leibniz is a collection of exceptional breadth and depth that will have a profound and lasting impact on Leibniz scholarship. For anyone who wants to know how Leibniz’s philosophy is related to many of the other fields he was concerned with, this Handbook is the first choice.
