This text is tremendously well researched, and a feat of brevity including archival evidence and historical grounding all the while expressing the colonial parallels between both personages, India and Ireland writ large. Irish studies scholars who interest themselves in either author or epistolary narratives in the interwar era will find this correspondence very telling as will those interested in the colonial and personal relations between influential touring polymaths.
