In this paper, we introduce the definitions of mean dimensions and upper metric mean dimensions for partial -actions. Our theorem provides a natural and intrinsic characterization of mean dimensions and upper metric mean dimensions for partial -actions, that mean dimension for a partial action is bounded by the upper metric mean dimension of its globalization and for certain systems the upper metric mean dimension is concentrated on the non-wandering set.
