Abstract The pyrazole–triazole hybrid ring system has attracted great interest of synthetic organic researcher and those dealing with the study of medicinal, agricultural, and pharmaceutical compounds due to their versatile potential to interact with biological systems. The pyrazole and triazole nucleus possesses a wide range of biological activities especially anticancer, antifungal, and antitumor. Therefore, there is a need to synthesized novel compounds which contains both triazole and pyrazole nucleus in their structure. Herein, we have synthesized series of Schiff bases from pyrazole carbaldehyde and 4-amino-5-(pyridine-4yl)-1,2,4-triazole-3-thiol under microwave irradiation at 70–75 °C in polyethylene glycol-400 in 15–20 min.
