Abstract The composites were synthesized using the nanoparticles of Mn0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 and BaTiO3 via solid state route. The X-ray diffraction pattern and microstructure of the composite samples confirm the coexistence of ferroelectric and ferrimagnetic phases. The magnetization is found to increase through the inclusion of ferrite. The ferrimagnetic/ferroelectric composites show a decrease in dielectric constant value with an increase in dielectric loss by increasing ferrite-content. The variation of magnetic and dielectric properties also confirms the coexistence of ferrimagnetic and ferroelectric phase.
