ABSTRACT According to the Nepal Census Report 2011, 2 percent persons of the total population in the country have some kind of disability, of whom women comprise 1.71 percent. Disabled women are deprived of their basic rights and sexual and reproductive health is not considered significant for them. Such women face stigma associated with marriage, sexual behavior and use of contraceptives. They lack proper education and in this conservative society, family and even service providers are unable to provide sufficient information and services to them. The case studies presented in this paper illustrate the situation of such women in a society where there is a huge gap between the status of men and women. These represent their experience and the challenges they face in seeking sexual reproductive health information and services and their struggle to obtain rights.
