ABSTRACT An instructor of collegiate Rhetoric and Composition courses uses practitioner action research to study the effects of curriculum centered around Expressive Arts techniques. Over the course of a semester, data were collected through multiple participant interviews, journal reflections, and visual artifacts of their artistic products. The instructor used narrative analysis to view individual participant results and found that the curriculum had therapeutic effects for participants that ranged from relaxation to introspective reflections of emotions.
