ABSTRACT The present study concerned with the use of an aqueous ginger extract as naturally and eco-friendly reducing and stabilizing agent in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs). The unique physicochemical characteristics of green synthesized AgNPs exhibit high potential antimicrobial activity and displayed an impact role in pharmaceutical determinations. To confirm the nanoscale of green synthesized AgNPs, various microscopic and spectroscopic techniques were performed. The synthesized nanoparticles were screened for their antimicrobial activity against several strains of bacteria and fungi. The obtained results showed excellent bactericidal and fungicidal effects. Also, the spectrofluorimetric analysis of anastrozole drug in bulk powder and dosage form was investigated. The suggested method displayed linear relationship between the drug concentrations and the fluorescence intensity between 2 and 100 µgmL−1 with regression equation was I FL = 9.1917C+ 65.945, n = 10 and r = 0.9995 at λex 390 and λem 440 nm. The green synthesized AgNPs using ginger extract demonstrated a potential activity in pharmaceutical and biomedical fields. GRAPHICAL ABSTRACT
