policy case study. Chapter 7 continues with some helpful advice on designing workflows and plans in line with your digital preservation policy, in particular not to over-complicate them. They recommend making these workflows modular and not linked to any particular software tool, but rather with an eye towards a More Product, Less Process approach which argues for minimal processing in order to get collections up and accessible as quickly as possible. Note that although a policy and plan are a good start, policy questions will come up during the process. They emphasise not tying your policy or plan to specific tools as they can quickly become obsolete. Instead, if you are tempted to add a certain tool ask yourself what core functionality it provides and then incorporate that into your policies and workflow. Chapter 8 concludes with the many exciting challenges we will soon be addressing as a profession and potentially useful areas of knowledge and skills to acquire in preparation for them. Overall, I found the book a well-written and engaging guide to what can be an intimidating subject. Though its brevity is one of its virtues, one gap is the lack of suggested further reading. I would definitely recommend it to anyone trying to get to grips with born-digital content but it should be used as a guide to familiarise yourself with the basics and seen as a starting point for new avenues of exploration.
