In the present paper we investigate induced scattering of the pump microwave during electron Bernstein wave heating in the regimes with the high poloidal beta. It occurs in the upper hybrid resonance vicinity and leads to the nonlinear excitation of electron Bernstein waves confined within a finite 3D region limited in the radial direction by a potential well at the LFS and in the poloidal and toroidal directions by the dimensions of the spot on the magnetic flux surface illuminated by the pump beam.
