Biomimetic asymmetric wettability has recently attracted increasing attention, which can be utilized to offer a means for guiding water motion. Herein, we report super-elasticity double layer nanofibers mats with unidirectional water transportation ability. In nanofibers mats, polyurethane nanofibers as hydrophobic layer and crosslinked poly (L-lactic acid) nanofibers as hydrophilic layer are combined, and its elastic elongation reaches 336.22 ± 20.50%. Moreover, the water contact angles (CAs) exceed 128° in hydrophobic side, on the contrary, the water CAs below 45° in hydrophilic side. Water can permeate from hydrophobic side to hydrophilic side, but is retained in the opposite direction. These super-elastic nanofibers mats achieve highly efficient unidirectional water transportation based on hydrophilic-hydrophobic structures. It is believed to have the potential to be used in many practical applications, such as sports wear, smart clothing etc.
