In this paper, we present the detailed physics studies of a 2 MeV, 50 kW DC electron accelerator for industrial applications. Design of accelerating and beam transport elements is carried out and beam optics simulation results are discussed. Emittance growth of the beam due to misalignment of acceleration section is simulated. X-ray production and Dose distribution is performed in FLUKA code.
