The temperature dependences of spin/orbital magnetization switching behaviour were measured for CoFeB/MgO and CoFeB/Ta multi-layered films. The magnetization switching behaviours were different between the spin specific magnetic hysteresis (SSMH) curve and the orbital specific magnetic hysteresis (OSMH) curve for the CoFeB/MgO and CoFeB/Ta interfaces. The OSMH curves show step function behaviour, as though they possess a perpendicular magnetic anisotropy. The temperature dependence is more remarkable in the OSMH curve than in the SSMH curve, especially for the FeCoB/Ta interface. These results suggest that a stimulation, such as thermal energy, microwave, or electric field, against the orbital magnetization at the CoFeB/Ta interfaces, will be useful to reduce the magnetization switching current.
