We offer a comment to the Editor regarding the recently published article by Dobbs, et al. examining the patient perspective to same-day discharge for radical prostatectomy. A growing trend, same-day discharge offers potential benefits, but is not without unique challenges as well. Ultimately, close collaboration between the patient and surgeon will define the true success of this pathway.
