Abstract Advance in treatment strategies including surgery, radiation therapy and multiagent chemotherapy, the prognosis of Ewing sarcoma family of tumor (ESFT) and Rhabdomyosarcoma (RMS) has dramatically improved from the 1970’s in the United States and Europe. Current long¯term event¯free survival of patients with localized ESFT and RMS is more than 70%. In Japan, clinical trial groups has been established from early 2000’s, and many clinical trials has been performed and obtain the excellent results equivalent to the United States and Europe. Mortality of these disease are improving, however, quality of life in the patients after the end of treatment should be weii¯considered. Age is very important for thinking about quality of life in patients with treatment or after the completion of therapy, because there are many differences in the points of considerations amang children, adolescent and young adults, and elderly adults. For example, the problems are as follows: drug or radiation sensitivity, support of academic or working career plans, various psychological stress by having a disease for impressionable time, anxiety to the future including fertility and late complications suffered from long life. The comprehensive care corresponding to such problems are essential to resolve for treatment of sarcoma to occur mainly on AYA generation. We extract and share the present conditions and problems of the comprehensive care that is particularly important for treatment of these sarcoma and want to think the future strategies for treatment.
