Disparities in early detection of skin cancer are reflected in the disproportionate melanoma-associated mortality amongst people of color. To better characterize the drivers of this disparity, we sought to investigate differences in skin cancer surveillance by total body skin exam (TBSE) stratified by Fitzpatrick Skin Type (FPST) through patient surveys during focused dermatology clinic visits at a tertiary academic institution.
