Erythema annulare centrifugum (EAC), a gyrate erythema, is seen most commonly in young and middle-aged adults with a female preponderance. A strong association of dermatophytosis with EAC and diagnostic confusion between the two have been documented in large studies in the past. We report two striking cases of EAC developing towards the end of antifungal treatment. It appears worthwhile to observe in future if this is indeed a rare phenomenon in India with its ongoing epidemic of dermatophytosis or is underdiagnosed and therefore an underreported association.
