Scleromyxedema is a primary cutaneous mucinosis often associated with paraproteinemias, such as MGUS. Scleromyxedema typically presents with firm, waxy papules on the hands, head, trunk, or thighs. Livedo racemosa is a rare manifestation that may only be present in a minority of cases. There are no consensus guidelines on the treatment of scleromyxedema. However, the most commonly used first-line treatment is high-dose IVIG.
