Ethnic acral melanosis is a pigmentary abnormality found on the acral surfaces of patients of color, about which little is known. Patients of darker Fitzpatrick types have not been well represented in the limited studies that have been published on this topic, calling for more research on ethnic acral melanosis, particularly in patients of color. This is the largest case study to date of patients with Fitzpatrick skin types IV-VI that describes the dermoscopic findings of ethnic acral melanosis.
