This study analytically and biologically validated an enzyme immunoassay for quantification of glucocorticoid metabolites (MGC) in Megascops choliba. Differences in MGC levels were recorded between individuals in relation to time of day, but not in relation to sex. Additionally, higher frequency of active behaviours was related to higher levels of MGC.
