The article presents an update on the COVID-19 pandemic as of February 2022. Based on statistics, people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) are more at risk during the pandemic due to their higher comorbidities and limited access to COVID-19 vaccines. The Pan-European Commission on Health and Sustainable Development is calling for all levels of society to address the divisions revealed by COVID-19. The European Public Health Conference will be held in Berlin, Germany in November.
