We report a case of parvovirus B19-associated transient aplastic crisis following P. falciparum malaria and post-artesunate delayed haemolysis. Concomitant parvovirus B19 infection is an established cause of exacerbation of malaria-related anaemia in endemic countries, but a rare and potentially life-threatening condition in returning travellers.
