Design and method: We included 553 patients with AH. Mean offi ce SBP/DBP were 154,46 ± 1,57/92,77 ± 0,90 mmHg, mean glucose level was 5,73 ± 1,13 mmol/l, cholesterol 5,50 ± 0,09 mmol/l. Mean age 49,02 ± 0,95 years, 42,3% women and 57,7% men. We used aplanation tonometry in order to measure central SBP, carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (cfPWV) as an indicator of arterial stiffness. We used cardio-ankle brachial index (CAVI) to measure arterial stiffness not dependent from blood pressure level, also we evaluated ankle-brachial index (ABI). We measured intima-media thickness (IMT) during vascular ultrasaund examination. Left ventricle stiffness indicators -end-sytolic elastance (Ees) of left ventricle and ventricle arterial coupling (VAC) were measured during echocardiography.
