Among the 127 cases, 105 were in the period of 3 and 22 cases were in the period of 4.The early clinical manifestations were persistent high fever (100%), malaise (100%), absent sight (100%), limb shaking (98%), vomiting (57%), nystagmus (47%), convulsions were rare, only 7 cases (5.62%).Laboratory examination: 84 cases (66.14%) patients had elevated blood glucose; 72 cases (56.69%) increased cerebrospinal fluid pressure; 54 cases (40.04%) with increased number of cells in cerebrospinal fluid; cranial MRI:78 cases (61.41%) had abnormal changes. Active treatment was done according HFMD expert consensus, except for the blood purification treatment. Prognosis: 127 cases of critically ill children survived in 108 cases (85.03%), with 29 cases (22.83%) have different kinds of sequel. 19 patients were died (14.96%).
