From November 3 to 4, 2017, the American Contact Dermatitis Society (ACDS) hosted the Frontiers in Dermatitis conference in Washington, DC, featuring a number of exciting speakers. Dr Alison Ehrlich, chair of the organizing committee, and Dr Bryan Anderson, scientific chair, along with members of the meeting committee (Drs Amber Atwater, Sharon Jacob, and Cory Dunnick), saw this landmark meeting to fruition. It was the first stand-alone midyear meeting held by the ACDS in over a decade. The meeting commenced with a focus on advances in dermatitis and continued with cutting-edge developments and occupational and regulatory issues. Hot topics and patch-testing tips for those getting started in the field were also key points of discussion.
