High-frequency ultrasonography (18 MHz) showed a well-defined anechoic dermo-hypodermal lesion with a fibrous tract connecting, through a small bone defect, with the intracranial space (Figure 2A). Doppler mode showed a single blood vessel with low-flow running within the fibrous tract toward the center of the lesion. Immediately underneath the bone defect, the superior sagittal sinus was visible (Figure 2B). An AC was suspected, and histological results, obtained after elective surgery, were compatible.
