Treatment of scars is among the most impactful interventionswe dermatologists offer our patients. For myriad reasons, published evidence regarding the laser treatment of surgical scars is low powered when compared with the large randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of dermatologic drugs and aesthetic injectables. In this issue of Dermatologic Surgery, Kent and colleagues performed a systematic review and meta-analysis of the highest quality RCT to determine whether pooled datawould support early intervention for the laser treatment of surgical scars.
