Finally, we are delighted that both our surveys initiated the discussion about RSI controversies. We hope that some controversial parts could be examined soon (e.g. the preferred position of the patient for RSI) and hopefully the ESA, ideally in co-operation with the American Society of Anesthesiologists, will initiate the formation of the task force for RSI guideline because this was the primary aim of our survey.
