triple) with respect to Best Corrected Visual Acuity (BCVA). At what time period after the surgery was the BCVA measured, which was included in the analysis? The authors have included 139 eyes in the study; after excluding the eyes that had graft failure (n = 5), other comorbid ocular pathologies (n = 12), and eyes that were unavailable for evaluation (n = 10), the total number of eyes should have been 112 for the BCVA analysis, but the authors have analyzed the results for 114 eyes. We assume that it is a typographical/calculation error introduced during the analysis. In addition, it is not mentioned as to which of the 3 groups the excluded 22 eyes belonged. The authors have reported only P values for the significant difference in BCVA between the eyes that underwent rebubbling versus no rebubbling (P = 0.854) and not provided the BCVA values although they mentioned converting Snellen BCVA to Logarithm of Minimum Angle of Resolution (LogMAR) units for the statistical analysis. In the Results section, postDMEK, the mean BCVA is reported as 20/23, and the LogMAR unit and standard deviation are not mentioned. It would have been better if the authors had provided a table showing the mean differences in BCVA between the 3 groups. In addition, they should have provided the LogMAR BCVA values separately for the rebubbled and no rebubbling groups. It is mentioned that donor age older than 45 years was not associated with a higher rebubble rate, but the donor graft age range was from 46 to 74 years. The surgeon has not used any donor tissue younger than 46 years; hence, the above statement would be an extrapolation of data as they have not compared this to any tissue younger than 45 years. The patients underwent surgery between July 1, 2014, and January 6, 2018; however, the mean follow-up duration after the surgery is not mentioned. At what time period were the data collected for the analysis? This is important because the phakic eyes may develop cataract and the pseudophakic eyes may develop posterior capsule opacification over a period of time, which will affect the final visual outcome.
