Editorial Comment: The relationship between periodontal disease and erectile dysfunction (ED) is unclear. Five case-control studies with 213,076 participants were included in this meta-analysis. Patients with periodontal disease were 2.85-fold more likely to be diagnosed with ED (OR 2.85, 95% CI 1.83 to 4.46). Asian men were 3.07-fold more likely to be at increased risk for ED. These are interesting data.
