Editorial Comment: The authors analyzed incidental findings during computerized tomographic angiography (CTA) diagnostic evaluation in patients with arteriogenic erectile dysfunction (ED). A total of 200 patients underwent CTA for suspected arteriogenic ED. Mean SD patient age was 59.6 11.7 years. Of the patients 85 (42.5%) exhibited incidental findings requiring immediate further medical evaluation and/or treatment, including coronary artery calcification in 75 (37.5%), aortoiliac aneurysms in 8 (4%) and incidentally detected embolism in 1 (0.5%). Incidental findings not directly related to ED were common in patients undergoing CTA for suspected arterial obstructions. These very timely data show that arteriogenic ED is associated with other vasculopathies.
