Despite its numerous advantages, many centers do not conduct coronary artery calcium (CAC) testing in the same setting as cardiac computed tomographic angiography (CCTA). Non-contrast computed tomography (CT) (CAC screening) allows for quantitative coronary calcification assessment, determines proper killivolts (kVp) choice by using 120 kVp when severe calcifications exist, and even de-risks patients with a score of zero [1,2]. Here, we describe another use of comparative CAC testing.
