Data from general practitioners were suggested to be useful to monitor measles outbreaks [4], but very few studies have been published to evaluate the usefulness of ED data [5]. EEDAs, combined with General Practitioners data, are already used routinely to monitor seasonal outbreaks such as flu [6]. We suggested that EEDA (better reactivity) could be complementary to MN (better completeness) to monitor measles.
