A 59-year-old man was admitted to the emergency room 12 hours after the onset of diffuse abdominal pain and diarrhea with clots and dark blood. Patient reported medical history of hypertension and dyslipidemia. He denied prior abdominal surgeries. Upon admission, patient presented with normal blood pressure and mild tachycardia with a heart rate of 102 beats/ min. Blood oxygen saturation was 98%, and he was afebrile.
