Here, the resistance of a WSe${}_{2}$ monolayer is measured under a strong, pulsed magnetic field. Non-$\frac{1}{B}$-periodic Shubnikov--de Haas oscillations are observed and attributed to a large spin-valley splitting of the valence band. The authors develop a model to simulate the magnetoresistancein the regime of partially resolved Zeeman splitting of the Landau levels. The ratio between the Zeeman and cyclotron energies, obtained from the fit of the oscillations, translates into a density-dependent, large-hole Land\'e factor.
